Kendra’s Card Challenge #2

I’m so happy to join the team over at Kendra’s Card Challenge! If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s a quarterly challenge that uses (6) 6×6 sheets to make 15 or so cards… how fun is that?! There’s also a FB Group if you want to see other sets that people have made too!

I’ve absolutely loved the idea of One Sheet Wonders but am not always in love with the cards I end up making with the templates… this time I absolutely LOVE the cards that came out of this challenge!

So how it works is you use the provided cutting guide and card sketches (pdf file) in order to put your cards together. There’s definitely a little wiggle room in exactly HOW you follow the sketches… You’ll see that I have to flip some things around to make it work but I definitely use the sketches as a starting point!!

  • Upload pictures of your card creations on social media and use the hashtag #KendrasCardChallenge2 (on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube).
  • One set of 15 cards counts as 1 entry.
  • You can enter up to 3 times per challenge.
  • There will be THREE randomly selected winners who might win the following prizes:
    • 🎁 Mystery Cardmaking Kit – Contains patterned paper with coordinating ephemera, cardstock, embellishments, stickers & more!
    • 🎁 Mystery Mixed Media Bundle – Contains stencils, embellishment mousse, perfect pearls, powder pigments & more!
    • 🎁 Mystery Stamp & Die bundle

I ended up making some super cute kitty cards. I also did a super sped-up video walkthrough that kinda goes through my process for doing these cards. I won’t always talk, and I apologize for saying “um” a lot… lol. TALKING IS AWKWARD, Y’ALL. Only once in a while I’ll do talking videos. Normally I just play some chill music and put words on the screen. I’ll definitely do that more often haha.

Okay and here’s the cards I made.

So for card #9 I totally had to flip this on its side because I messed up my notes in the beginning and didn’t mark this one on the cutting guide as a rotated piece. It totally still works though!

For card #10 the angled square pieces behind the circle piece just didn’t feel right so I switched it up a bit to make it work for me!

How fun was that?!?Thank you for making it all the way through this long post! And super extra thanks for stopping by! I hope you come join in the challenge. Can’t wait to see what you make!! And make sure to swing by the FB Group to see what the other designers have done too!
