CFC #204 w/CAS-ual Friday Stamps

Hi friends! It’s time for another CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. This week, the challenge is

I did NOT have any CAS-ual Fridays Stamps with butterflies on them. So I stared at my stamps for a few days and then improvised. haha! The butterflies are made using the awareness ribbon from the Calm and Gentle stamp set. I just did a partial inking of the looped part of the ribbon (not the tails) and then added some Nuvo drops to create the butterfly bodies.

The hearts are from the Somebunny stamp set, and the sentiment is from the Little Birdies stamp set. I stamped the hearts all over the background, and then added in a strip that I watercolored and then cut into a fishtail banner. LOVE how this card came together, especially since it took me a couple days of staring at it to get it to figure itself out lol!!

Floral Fairy w/LSB

It’s time for a new Lemon Shortbread Challenge!! All of our challenges are Anything Goes and any image is welcome!! I got to play with Floral Fairy and she can be found in the Lemon Shortbread Etsy Store.

She is so sweet. I just adore her beautiful wings and that super pretty flower in her hands. I have no idea what kind of flower it is but I want one!!! Or a garden full of them!!! haha!!

Song in my Heart Midway w/SD

It’s time for a mid-challenge reminder for our current Scribbles Designs Challenge! The theme this month is “Song in my Heart” and I’m using the digi #8103 – Butterfly Mason Jar from the Scribbles Designs Store. I was fortunate to grow up when there was GOOD music on the radio… 90’s hip hop and r&b was always on blast in my room. So this is a throwback to one of my favorite songs, Butterfly by Mariah Carey. Absolutely loved this song and always dreamed to be able to sing like her.

So anywhoo, when I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to use this song and this super amazingly beautiful image. Love it. Perfect for a sweet birthday card.

Butterfly Birthday w/WD

There are some new digis over at Whimsie Doodles!!

This cutie is Abby. She is THE cutest little thing!!! And I gotta say, it was super hard to pick a new release digi to use. (Pop by the store to see what I mean!) The others were just too funny but I decided to *gasp!* take a break from the Valentines cards!! haha!! Happy Thursday, friends! It’s almost the weekend!!!

Butterfly Tree w/Crafting with Dragonflies

This fortnight, the challenge over at Crafting with Dragonflies is #13 – create a card with nature/trees/leaves on them. It’s a free challeng, meaning the DT is free to work with whatever they want and not limited to using sponsor images. I love it!! I built a tree out of butterfly punches… I remember seeing this in a magazine somewhere – sorry I’m not giving the proper credit because it’s been that long and I forget!!

I also wanted to keep it simple – I ‘hung’ a heart off the tree and I figure that’s enough of a sentiment in itself.
