Fly On! w/Beth Duff Designs

Hey friends! I’m on the Beth Duff Designs Blog today sharing an all-occasion card from the Fly On! digi set in the Beth Duff Designs Shop! I say all-occasion because I really don’t know what I’m going to use him for… something school related? Drawing related? Or even just simply a birthday or thank you card for a dragon-loving kid! So ultimately, I left it blank because I figure I will know what to use him for when the time comes!

Make sure to swing by the Beth Duff Designs Facebook Group to see what everyone else is up to!

Fairytale/Fantasy Challenge w/KBD

KittyBeeDesigns-Banner

It’s Aloha Friday which means it’s time for a new challenge over at Kitty Bee Designs’ Aloha Friday Challenges!  The theme for this challenge is Fairytale/Fantasy and we’re sponsored by A Day For Daisies and The Paper Shelter.  Today’s card is using Exotic Enchantment by The Paper Shelter.

I have had this fern paper for a ridiculously long time lol.  It was made by a local company here in Hawaii that specialized in local patterns, but I couldn’t tell you their name anymore lol. But anywhoo, I used the precolored image that came with this set… seriously makes my life so much easier sometimes when I can just put together a card and not have to sit and color an image for like 20 minutes first!!  haha.

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you come join in the challenge!!

I had so much fun with this theme that I actually made TWO cards this week!!  First is Unicorn Toy by A Day for Daisies.

My second card uses Rapunzel by The Paper Shelter.

Kiss your Prince! w/CSD

Inspirational Blog

I’m blogging over at the Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspirational Blog today! This adorable pair is Princess and the Frog and I wanted to do something different with her hair… so I went with a light silvery-purpleish color and I wasn’t sure how much I liked it, but then it ended up growing on me!

CraftySentimentsDesigns-PrincessAndFrog-kelA

That little guy looks so happy to have found his princess!!  I turned this into a birthday card because that sentiment just matched so perfectly!!

Pretty Princesses w/SSz

banner

It’s challenge time over at Star Stampz   The theme this challenge is “Pretty Princesses” and I’m using the digi “Belle Chibi,” who can be found in the Star Stampz Etsy Store.

StarStampz-BelleChibi-kelA

So I absolutely love Cinderella, she is hands down my favorite princess… but Belle comes in at a close second!!  I’ve always loved the fact that she reads so much and is kind-hearted… and doesn’t give up on her beast.  I wish I had found myself a beast who gave me my own humongous library!!!!

And I apologize for this picture… While Belle herself is in focus, the rest of the card totally isn’t.  I think it’s because I changed my camera to a fixed lens and popped her up on some big dots.  But I kinda like how it created a vignette around the image… It looks kinda pretty like that, don’t you think??

Thanks for stopping by today!  And come join us over at Star Stampz!!!

Apple Seed w/TEW

Blogbanner2015spring

It’s time for a new release from The East Wind!!   This is “Apple Seed” and she can be found in The East Wind Etsy Store.  She is OMG gorgeous… Unky outdid herself again!!!

TheEastWind-AppleSeed-MAC0215-kelA

Initially I had her colored with a background shading with the intention of cutting her out in an oval shape, like a mirror.  BUT I COULDN’T FIND AN OVAL PUNCH OR DIE BIG ENOUGHHHHHHH.  And then I thought of looking for something to trace and cut, but even that was non-existent.  So in having to change my shape, I ended up changing my entire card design.  And I really do like it but it’s really not what I had envisioned… So sad that a lot of my cards have that issue recently because I simply don’t have or can’t find what I need to make my vision come to life!!  Oh well, oval dies are just one more thing for my shopping list!!

Come swing by The East Wind Facebook Group and see what else is new!!

Gabbie as Cinderella w/FAE

I’m blogging over at Faery Ink!! For today’s inspiration post, I got to play with this beautiful lady Gabbie as Cinderella (found on the Newest Releases page).   She is just too cute!!  I left off a sentiment because I don’t have a recipient/occasion in mind and she is versatile enough to use for birthday, congratulations, wedding… and so much more!

FaeryInk-GabbyasCinderella-kelA

I found this leaf scrap from a birthday pad and built my card around it!  It reminded me of pumpkin vines!!  I colored her up with copics and just kinda pieced it all together and really love how it came out!

Thanks for stopping by today!  See you again soon!!

Mermaid On The Rocks w/FAE

It’s time for a Faery Ink new release!!   The release this month (and I believe from now on) is staggered, so there’s new goodies every week!!  This is Mermaid On The Rocks (found on the Newest Digis page) and I have to say that this is the MOST FUN I’ve had coloring a digi in a long time.  Don’t get me wrong, I love coloring all kinds of cute digis, but I think the combination of colors for her hair and mermaid-parts were so different than what I tend to work with that it was fun to just play around a bit.  And I know I already made a different card for the Scenery challenge over at the Faery Ink FB group, but for whatever reason, this digi made me realize how much I actually enjoy coloring grounding/scenery!!

This little piggy… w/Crafting with Dragonflies

This fortnight over at Crafting with Dragonflies, we’re having Challenge #11 – Use min 5 pp scraps.  I can’t believe it’s already Challenge #11.  We’re fortunate to be sponsored by

Bugaboo Stamps

and

Meljen's Designs

I got to play with the image “3 Little Pigs” by Meljens.  Something about this image just called out to me!  And I have to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this card came out.  While I didn’t get to use up a ton of scraps as I had hoped, this challenge forced me to pull out scraps that I normally wouldn’t have used together.  Even the pink mat is a scrap that I trimmed down to fit.  I was going for kind of a polaroid frame type thing.

Hope you can come join us over at Crafting with Dragonflies this fortnight!  Use up those scraps!!
